Hey there!
I'm new around the forum and I've been looking for some new things to add to my Arkenforge and Roll20 maps and I'm a little confused. What exactly is the difference between the Top Down Settlements and the Asset Packs? Are they whole cloth maps or are they assets to build your own? I'm looking to be able to construct some reasonably detailed and pretty (but everything you create is pretty so goes without saying) city and town maps for general navigation as well as assets to use in my battle maps. Can you help point me in the right direction? Everything looks wonderful, I'm just a little lost on what is actually in each set.
Thanks for your time,
JP
Hello JP, thank you so much for the comments and welcome to the forums.
All of the art packages are assets to build your own creations ( although they do include some completed maps). I am currently not at the studio and have poor internet connection, hence the amount of time it took for my response which I apologize for, but I will be back shortly and give you a much more detailed reply to your questions!

Top Down Settlements is a comprehensive collection of over 400 images that include not just pre-designed structures (buildings, walls, bridges, fortifications , etc.) but also individual items for the creation of your own unique constructions with an array of roofs and peaks , castle parts, and so on. In addition there is many types of terrain and waterways. These include everything from cliffs and coasts to rivers, lakes and waterfalls. We also have included classic flora (trees, bushes, crops and such) and traditional map decor and utilities ( Compass roses, borders, scrolls, etc.).
All of these images are scaled to work in relation to each other and from a city overview perspective and would not work well for close up battle map style maps, Top Down Interiors, however, is set to a battle map scale, but, as the name suggests is more tailored to the interiors of buildings.
All of these images are at a 300 ppi resolution to accommodate physical printing which is generally much greater then needed for virtual table tops. Roll20, if I remember correctly, has a suggested resolution of 72 ppi and although it is something easily dealt with is something you should be aware of.
The Asset Packs are older and smaller collections of hand drawn images, usually less then 100, with specific themes. These products are indeed mostly geared to battle map creations with a few exceptions and are also available on the Roll20 marketplace as well.
We always us a unified color pallet and specific design recipe with all of our presented products to ensure that all of the art packages work seamlessly and cohesively with one another.
Again thank you so much for your inquiry and compliments ad if you have any questions whatsoever please do not hesitate to ask!
